About the ride

The Grosslockner is the ultimate challenge for many two-wheel fans. You will start at Bruck an der Grossglocknerstrasse. You are lucky, because the first 10 kilometers are relatively flat. Excellent moment to warm up the legs before the climb starts.

Whenever you’re ready you can easily kickoff by downloading this ride, but don’t miss out on the other GPX rides made available via our page.

The real punch starts at Ferleiten with gradients over 10%. You will be fighting these kinds of gradients all the way up. Just close to top you will get some relief averaging an 8% gradient. After a short descent you climb via Fuscher Lake to Hochtor. A short climb with an average percentage of 6%.

The last fight of the day will be during the ascent of Edelweißspitze.

With a 10% average the cobblestone side road is not an easy one to climb

This is a 1.8km cobblestone side road to the Edelweißspitze. But the short series of hairpins are hard to descend.
